My lovely client June’s furniture upcycling story

Here is another clients’ furniture upcycling journey. June came to me with a whole room full of dated orange pine which she had fallen out of love with. She felt it was too orange and wanted to lighten it all up and harmonise the whole feel of the room and make it all look much more contemporary, yet still be in keeping with her cottage. So we had a zoom call looking at June’s room in detail and any design aspects/ existing colour scheme that she wanted to co-ordinate with. I sent out some colour paint sticks for June to see in her lighting and we narrowed down a few colour choices. My husband and I then arranged a van and date to collect the furniture personally.

On arrival to June’s home in Northampton, we set about deciding on a colour scheme and how we could achieve her vision. We loved the Farrow & Ball colour ‘Teresa’s Green’ in her room and thought it would bring a lovely injection of colour whilst making the furniture look much more contemporary.

Here are some photos showing the ‘Before’ and ‘After’ and I think you will agree, it is quite a transformation!

I absolutely love my furniture and so do my friends. You have a picture in mind of how it’s going to look, but Oh ,Wow, much better than I pictured. Rebecca is amazing and I can’t thank her enough for what she has done. Made me a very happy lady and have no hesitation in recommending her.

Michelle’s Furniture Upcycling - Before & Afters

Michelle came to me with a set of brown bedroom furniture she had recently purchased which she wanted me to upcycle and give a fresh new look to. She had a whole suite of furniture and felt it would look too imposing and too dark, all brown and plain varnished wood.

So we discussed during a visit to my workshop, how I could modernise it, give it a bit of a french twist and a soft deep palette with some new handles and fancy embellishments. We looked at different colours and design elements and Michelle left feeling really excited about her furniture makeover!

I love how they were transformed and so did Michelle!

I went for a bespoke French Rococo style. The results are stunning and I’m over the moon. Rebecca is very creative, professional and an excellent communicator. Throughout the whole process she kept me up to date with colour, finish, style, and the cost of the project. Making suggestions and working with me closely every step of the way. The quality and finish of her work is second to none!
